About this home
3 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms. I am renting the entire upstairs to one person. There is a bathroom and two bedrooms up there as its own unit, with one bedroom, one bathroom, and one living space/office area. I have do have three black labs (info about them at the end of the description) so you should be dog friendly (they can easily be put into another area of the house so they are not interacting with you when you need a break from them. There is plenty of room in the driveway for 2 cars (it is two cars wide). The bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, TV with roku, mini fridge, desk with chair, two closets with hangers, and nightstands next to the bed as well as a recliner near the TV/dresser area (it is large room). Window air conditioner in the warmer months and a small electric radiator to make sure the room stays at the temperature you want as there is only one thermostat in the house and that is the best way to make sure you have control over the temp in your spaces. Blackout curtains have been installed in the bedroom. The bathroom has the basics in it including an ironing board and iron (if you need one), all cleaning supplies, towels and other important things as well. All necessary first aid supplies are included as well and can be restocked at any time. The living area (which was another bedroom, but I figured having an entire floor to yourself is preferred to having a dorm style house) is still in process of being furnished, but the plan is to have a recliner, small couch (or futon, depends what I can get up the stairs and in the room), coffee table, end tables, larger TV, small refrigerator/freezer, and I am open to including other things you might need/want as well. There will also be a window air conditioner outside of winter months and a small electric radiator to make sure the temperature in the room is what you want it to be as well during the winter. Shared spaces are a full kitchen with Keurig, crock pot, air fryer. dishwasher, garbage disposal, stove, oven, fridge, etc. There are plates, cups, mugs, pots, pans, and everything else you will need. The living room is right off the kitchen with a large couch and a chair (2nd chair or smaller couch coming soon) along with a 55 inch TV with a roku. Laundry is in the basement along with lots of room for storage. There is a large fenced in back yard with a large deck (table and chairs on it). There will be a grill before the spring rolls around along with a fire pit and plenty of firewood. Neighbors are all really quiet and great to live near. There are lots of small shops, stores, restaurants, and bars within a mile of the house (many are easily walkable). House is on the border of North Winton Village and Irondequoit, very close to Strong, RGH, and Highland Hospitals. I do have three black labs, Barnaby (6) , Quincy (4), and Arlo (1). Barnaby and Quincy are both trained therapy dogs (neither went through the certification exam) and know a ton of commands. Arlo was just rescued (Quincy is also a rescue) in November and is learning quickly. They are the friendliest dogs you will ever meet and they love everyone. The sliding door in my room has a mechanism that opens it for them whenever they want to go outside as well. However, if you need a break from them at any time, you can put them in my bedroom at any time and close the door and they are fine in there with access to the outside. There is also a gate at the bottom of the stairs that keeps them from entering the upstairs at any time. If you are a dog person, you will almost definitely love these 3. I don't think the house can sustain any more pets, but we can chat a little more if you have a pet that you travel with and think it might work. I have lived in Rochester for 15 years and know all about the city. If you are looking for places to check out while you are here, I can give you a lot of suggestions. I leave for work in the morning at 5am and get back around 4:30pm (at the earliest). I run a small business and am often gone on weekends and any holidays working on things for that, so many times you will have the house to yourself (plus the dogs about half the time - but you can limit your interactions with them if you want!).
