Cats allowed, would need to ask the landlord about dogs. 

Landlord lives out of state but has been very friendly, responsive, and flexible. 

About the room: Spacious master bedroom with two full closets plus built in shelving and ‘attic’ storage area above the closets. Double windows with lots of natural light and a skylight built into the high ceilings. Full master bathroom with double vanity and walk-in shower. 

About the house: 1,314 square foot, two-level row house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. Spacious open common area, kitchen, and half-bath downstairs, with in-unit washer and dryer. Kitchen has a gas stove and modern appliances. There are two private parking spaces behind the house. 

About the location: The house is located on a residential street in Bloomingdale. Walking distance to Shaw/Howard University metro stop (green line), Florida Ave and U Street. Closest bus routes are C91, C53, and D32. We have loved the parks (Crispus Attucks, Le Droit Park) and local restaurants and bars (Boundary Stone, Sylvan Cafe, Right Proper Brewing), all within a 10 minute walk. 

About me: I’ve (26F) lived in DC for about two years, originally from the Midwest. Queer and progressive, no maga please :) I’m in marketing and work from home most days. I enjoy distance running, going out salsa dancing, and exploring new coffee shops and craft breweries. I hope we get along and hang out occasionally as roomies, but I’m totally comfortable doing my own thing as well. I love quiet house movie nights and small watch parties for the latest show. I have an 11 year old cat, Smokey. She will snuggle with anyone who sits on the couch.
