My name is Jan (pronounced "Yahn") Cook, and I have just graduated from Laguna Beach High School. I'll be attending Mesa San Diego college starting this fall.

I have taken a lease on a one-bedroom apartment, which I am looking to share.

I am looking to share the bedroom, college dorm style and think that the best arrangment will be two bunk beds with an empty space below them for a study area (desk, computer). The living room would be a common area for television, computer game hook-up.

There is a small kitchen, and the apartment has lots of closet and drawer space.

As can be seen, the complex is located in the heart of Kearny-Mesa, near the park, Mesa San Diego and within walking/biking distance of shops.

The rent is 1,995 + some utilities and internet. The complex has a pool, BBQ area and laundry rooms. If you also attend Mesa San Diego, you'll be pleased to know that the school is literally within walking distance from the apartment complex.

I am looking for the following qualities in a roommate:

* Male 18-25, preferably a student.
* Organized and neat, willing to share in house cleaning duties.
* Willing to sign lease by August 15th.
* The rent is split 50-50, but to enter the lease, you and/or guarantor will need to pass credit check show 3x gross salary of the rental ($1,995 x 3).
* I have paid the deposit of $1,200, so the new leasee would reimburse me for half of that. The deposit would be returned in full (with the usual qualifications) when you leave the apartment.
* The lease is for 6 months, but renews automatically from month to month after that. This is great for a student who is only in town for the 9 months of school. I myself am planning to move back home around mid-June.

I am currently out of the country on vacation, but will need to find someone ahead of my return in August 16.
