I have 1BR available in a very large 2BR 1 Bath in a great Washington Square location right on Beacon Street.

Rent is $1450 per month with heat and water included. Just paying electricity and internet for utilities. The room is available NOW, and I have a little flexibility on move-in, but ideally, I’d like to have this room filled by June 1, because I am currently paying rent on both rooms. The lease goes until June 1, 2026.

This apartment is HUGE, and very bright with loads of south-facing windows looking out over Beacon Street. The bedroom that is open is approximately 13x12ft, could easily fit a queen size bed with plenty of room to spare.

I just moved in myself at the beginning of April and am in the process of furnishing the place. The pictures show the progress that I’ve done so far in the living room and kitchen.

The location is great. Right on Beacon street in Washington Square. There is Barcelona next door, Star Market across the street, the Tappan Street T stop on the C-branch of the Green line is right outside the front door, the Beaconsfield stop on the D-branch is a 5-6 minute walk away, Cleveland Circle and the Chestnut Hill Reservoir are about a 10-15 minute walk away, and everything else that Washington Square has to offer is only a block or two away.

There is no parking for rent, but a cursory glance on craigslist shows several spots for rent within a couple blocks.

About me:

I am a pretty easy going 30s working professional, working for a consulting company downtown. I work a hybrid 9-5 schedule, and typically go into the office around 2-3 days a week. Outside of work, I like to stay pretty active: I enjoy road cycling, hiking, and am also active in two local run clubs, and will be running my first marathon in November. I also enjoy occasionally having friends over for a game/movie night.

About you:

I am looking for someone first and foremost who is a clean and responsible mature adult. I like to keep this apartment clean and tidy, so it is not going to work out if you are a slob. I shouldn’t have to remind you to clean up after yourself and not leave a mess in the kitchen or any of the common areas. Sadly, I’ve had this problem with at least one roommate in the past, and I am not looking to repeat that experience.

I understand that everyone has their own lives, and I don’t need to be best friends with my roommate, but it would be nice to be living with someone who I can be sociable with and it doesn’t feel like living in a boarding house with a complete stranger. I don’t mind if you have guests over, but please be responsible and considerate about it. I'm not looking for a 3rd roommate.

Sadly, no pets are allowed.
