Hi! I’m Ellie, and I am a 24-year-old woman looking for a roommate. I have lived in my two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in Centreville, VA for three years. My current roommate is moving out, and I’m looking for a new roommate to live in her soon-to-be-empty bedroom, to take her place on the lease, and to cover half the rent. My roommate is moving out in early July, and our lease ends August 16th. The room will be available for move-in by mid-July, and we will arrange for you to take her place on the lease by August 16th. The current rent is $2,658, but we will each cover half ($1,329 per person). Rent includes the community fee for the amenities. Internet, gas, water, and electricity are not included in rent. Utilities usually do not exceed $200 total per month (about $100 per person in addition to rent). The rent may go up a little bit for the next year. 

About the apartment: 
My apartment is on the third floor of a garden-style apartment complex. The shared space in the apartment has an open floorplan with tall ceilings, large windows, a fireplace, an outdoor patio, in-unit washer/ dryer, a large kitchen, and a pantry. I’m happy to share this space with you. We will each have equal space in the kitchen cabins, refrigerator, and pantry. The bedrooms each have their own full bathroom and walk-in closet. 

The available bedroom is accessible from a hallway off of the shared living area. The hallway contains a closet for the washer and dryer that both roommates share. You can close the door to your hallway to have additional privacy. The bedroom is not furnished, but I’ve included pictures of it furnished and unfurnished to get a feel for its dimensions. 

About the community: 
My apartment is part of the MAA Centreville apartment community. I have been very happy with this community for the past three years. There is a beautiful outdoor pool, a gym, tennis courts, a dog park, and a community garden. It is a very quiet community with ample parking and lots of trees to block our view of the busy roads nearby. The trash and mailboxes are right by our apartment for easy access. 

We are in walking distance of Trader Joe’s, Giant, the public library, and many restaurants. We are also a short drive from a walking/ running trail (Cub Run Stream Valley Trail), Target, Walmart, and many other stores. We are a 15 minute drive from the Vienna Metro Station.
