Room for Rent: $400/month, utilities included

Optional: $100/month rent discount if you're willing to handle basic cleaning of the shared areas. This would mostly mean doing dishes, wiping down the stove/counters, sweeping about once a week, and keeping the bathroom clean. I'm not particularly messy, although I do have long hair and a beard, so hair is probably the recurring enemy here.

Landlord handles snow plowing/shoveling. Paid laundry machines are downstairs.

I also cook a lot of different international foods and am offering one home-cooked meal per day for $15/week if you're interested. This is optional.

About the space:

- Private bedroom with a fairly large closet and a bed already in it
- Shared kitchen and bathroom
- Two hallway closets with decent additional storage
- Outdoor parking lot behind the building, one car
- Utilities included in rent

I have converted the living room into my bedroom using a divider rather than a full wall, so there is effectively no traditional shared living room. I want that to be clear before anyone comes to look at the place. If you're interested, I'd prefer that we meet somewhere public first before you come by to see the apartment.

The property manager requires anyone living here to be added through a guest addendum rather than being added to the lease. There is no credit check, but the property manager does run a criminal background check.

House rules:
No pets. No smokin or vaping in the apartment.

About me / roommate compatibility:
I'm male and keep very late hours, often until around 5 a.m. I'm a fairly loud person, especially between about 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. which is usually when I am gaming with family and friends. If the noise bothers you, I'll make an effort to keep it down. If you're a light sleeper, though, this may not be the best fit.

I generally prefer female roommates because I've had significantly better roommate experiences with women than men.

This is strictly a roommate arrangement. I'm not looking to date or hook up with a roommate, and I will not exchange free or discounted rent for anything sexual. I'm putting that here because it has come up before and I'd rather make the boundary clear from the start.
